Doomsday Optimism in 2023

It may seem like the world is in a polycrisis, with doom and gloom around every corner; but for entrepreneurs and startups, this is not always the case-don't drink the kool aid!

There's a lot of potential to keep passion in startups, despite the challenges that come with having one; with hard work, a commitment to excellence and staying focused, your first year can transform your startup into a successful business venture.

So how can a startup avoid letting pessimism take hold in a world that consistently is touting the sky is falling!?

Growing Pains

Sure, there may be some growing pains during your first year, but don't let them stop you from staying true to yourself.

Being a startup founder is no easy feat - you're either in the midst of a first-year struggle or already in the thick of growing pains. It's not just about having great ideas, it's about having the passion and perseverance to make them happen. It's not just about creating something new and revolutionary, but taking it to its highest level of excellence.

The road ahead can be long and arduous; there will be days when you feel like giving up, when you feel like you’re stuck in a slog with no end in sight. But remember to know your value, keep pushing forward and create something great despite these growing pains!

Be a Risk Taker

Are you ready to take the leap and become a risk-taker in your startup business?

Taking risks can be scary but it can also lead to great rewards. Doing research, having one great use case, and staying true to yourself can all help you when taking those risks.

It's important to remember that while taking risks is essential for success, it should be done with excellence and a well thought out plan. Taking calculated risks will help you create great ideas and move your business forward.

So go ahead--be bold and take the plunge!

Company Culture

Creating a great team and culture isn't as hard as one would think. Being sure that you take the time to surround yourself with like minded people that share your passion and dedication to excellence are just a few of the steps needed to cultivate the culture your startup desires to thrive.

Identifying what drives you and your team to reach your goals will be the most helpful tool in creating the group of awesome people you gather to move your startup forward through the slog.

The sky may indeed be falling today in the land of 1’s and 0’s but tomorrow the sun shines and the birds chirp and all's right with the world and the next day maybe- the sky is falling again but it's imperative to not let doom and gloom get in the way of your success - stay optimistic.

It is awfully easy to be hard-boiled about everything in the daytime, but at night it is another thing. Everyone behaves badly–given the chance, but the sun too also rises.
